School Policies and Plans
Anti Bullying Policy
At Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School we are committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe
environment for all of our pupils so they can learn in a relaxed and secure atmosphere.
Bullying of any kind is unacceptable at Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School.
Attendance Policy
For a pupil to reach their full educational achievement a high level of school attendance
is essential. We will consistently work towards a goal of 100% attendance for all pupils.
Every opportunity will be used to convey to pupils and their parents or carers the
importance of regular and punctual attendance.
Behaviour Policy
Excellent behaviour is an essential part of the ethos of the school. All staff and pupils need to be kept safe from physical and verbal assault and the school has a duty of care in this
respect.
Complaints procedure
Our school is committed to dealing effectively with complaints. We aim to clarify any issues about which you are not sure. If possible we will put right
any mistakes we have made and we will apologise. We aim to learn from mistakes and use that experience to improve what we do.
Counter Cyber Bullying Policy
We are committed to helping all
members of the school community to benefit from information and
communication technology, whilst understanding its risks, and to equip
children with the knowledge and skills to be able to use it safely and
responsibly.
Equal Opportunities policy
Respect is the first word in our mission statement. We respect all individuals and are opposed to any form of discrimination. We are committed to giving all our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards.
Safeguarding Policy
Keeping children safe at Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School.
Special Educational Needs Policy
At Rhiw Syr Dafydd Primary School the staff strive to provide a broad and balanced
curriculum for all children.
Strategic Equality Plan
This is the school’s first Strategic Equalities Plan (SEP). It has been shaped by Caerphilly’s School Strategic Equality Plan. It builds upon the school’s Equal Opportunities Policy and Race Equality Policy.
